But what about taking care of the health of our body? Unfortunately, we do not exercise the same standard of care when it comes to our own health. Just like a car our bodies require care, maintenance, and fuel to function properly. The truth is though that calorie cutting alone probably won’t be enough to lose all the weight you want to lose. And here’s why. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. That means in order to lose just one pound of fat we will need to decrease our caloric intake by 3500 calories. Most people should be taking in between 1,500 and 2,500 calories daily. That means you would need to go without food for days just to lose one pound of fat! Impossible, and unhealthy.

While you should change your dog’s food from time to time, you need to change food very carefully. Start out slowly. Mix in a bit of new food with the old. Slowly increase this mixture until your dog is eating all new food. This can take a few weeks to accomplish but it is important you do this slowly for your dog’s health.

The free weights start at 2.5lbs dumbbells up to 150lbs giving a good range of weight for everyone, including the heavy lifters. I have to admit that this is the one area of the gym that can become congested. There are enough benches for the average gym but they are constantly in use by people using the free weights. So far, most of the gym members are good about “working in” with each other so even in this congested area there is little waiting for equipment.

Review with your physician any prescription medication that you are taking before trying to get pregnant. You may have to stop some medications like drugs for heart disorder, blood thinners and some medications for depression and anxiety. In most cases there are alternate medications that you can take that are safe during pregnancy. Some prescription drugs also contain caffeine which is a stimulant that cause hormonal imbalance and affects ovulation.
